The second verse of the track starts with ‘this is a promise with a catch’. I suppose COVID is probably the most unavoidable promise we’ll ever live through. Although a very sad and strange time for everyone, one positive is it’s given us a chance to put our creativity into practice, allowing for projects like this to happen (for a great cause, too!)

Daniel Johnston was the king of DIY within music, inspiring lots of people to take the same approach he did. He lived to make music and his passing last year marked the loss of an unusual yet beautiful genius.

We both love this song and hope you all do too!
